called today at 4:08pm CST. Call was not answered as there are too many strange calls these days. This may be a "spoofed" call - a call made from another phone that identifies itself with the above Verizon number. If this is true, Verizon cannot do anything about it. One of our politicians (midwest), had a service that would call "from" a number identified as originating in Canada, and if answered, the politicians phone call would come thru shortly after hanging up on the Canada call (which no one would respond when answered). After it happened a few times, it became clear who was triggering the Canada call. Fortunately, that politician is not doing that anymore.

No, they are not a collection agency, they are scammers. I even called them back once and they refused to tell me what they wanted, then hang up. To begin with, I don't owe money to anyone, so I shouldn't be receiving these calls. Next, I know that bill collectors ID themselves as such, plus they put the info about non-payment in a person's credit report. Nobody has done so in mine, so nobody is claiming any money from me. The Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney General of my state said that this number belongs to scammers and bad ones at that. Just report them and they'll close them down.

They are calling a business and after I answer the phone and repeatedly acknowledge my business name, no one answers me. I am going to text them a message to put me on their DO NOT CALL LIST

Went to voicemail and it just had the end of the recording saying the number to call back. I called back and it said "Thank you for your interest in our credit card program. Unfortunately our program is not active at this time. Please call back at a later date." I haven't applied for a credit card or anything? And it doesn't say a company either. WEIRD!!

Called today with death threat

SOMEONE CALLED MY HOUSE AND MY CELL PHONE NUMBER SAYING THEY ARE CALLING ME BECAUSE I OWE MONEY TO THE GOVERNMENT. THEY ARE CALLING FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AND THAT I NEED TO CALLED THEM BACK SOON IF NOT THEY WILL CHARGED ME WITH SOMETHING.... I WANT THESE PHONE CALLS TO STOP

I am on the do not call list do not know who this is. I will not answer calls from telemarketers.

i received a call from this nummer today, as missed call, without answer

Calls persistently every couple of minutes. We've picked up but no one speaks, we hang up, they call again. I'm really tired of this.

i did not pick up the phone because i did not know who it was

stated that I was involved in fradulent activity and that he had my ssn and that I needed to call him before I go to court? Sounds like a scam he wanted me to confirm private info over the phone.
